With more than 15,000 chemotherapy treatments administered here annually, managing the experience for patients is both a priority and a challenge. To bolster efficiency, Oncology staff members created the Treatment Workflow Group. By expanding the role of pharmacists, enhancing patient education and using computerized tracking for the stages of each patient’s treatment, the team has helped reduce wait times and made it easier for staff to meet patients’ needs. |
