The Johns Hopkins Lifeline Transport Program is a Hospital based transport program combined with the Department of Emergency Medicine.  The Transport team works under an interdisciplinary relationship to effect safe and expeditious transports of intra- and inter-facility critically ill and injured patients within a variety of disciplines.  Transports encompass Ground and Air; Adult and Pediatric. 

Patient Population
  • Adult and Pediatric Critical Care
  • All Medical and Surgical Disciplines
Nurse Patient Ratio
  • One to One, with 2 - 3 providers with the patient on transport.
Rotation/Shifts
  • Variety Available
  • Self-Scheduling
  • 12/24 hours shifts
Experience Base
  • Must have minimum 3 years ICU/ED Experience. Transport experience preferred.
Orientation
  • Experienced RN’s will receive a comprehensive orientation to the transport arena dependant upon experience and comfort levels
  • Competency based orientation
  • 8 to 12 weeks
