  • Care for patients from all departments who have volunteered for National Institutes of Health-funded clinical trials involving investigational drugs, devices and dietary studies.
  • Care for medical patients with a wide variety of medical diagnoses and cardiac patients requiring cardiac monitoring.

Nurse/Patient Ratio
  • Day: 1:4
  • Evening/Night: 1:4-5
Rotation/Shifts
  • Modified self-scheduling; eight- and 12-hour shifts
Skill Mix
  • 100 percent RN; 95 percent BSN
  • Clinical associate support
  • Required competencies: ACLS (all RNs expected to become certified within one year of hire)
