Individualized inpatient treatment for schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders for:  maladaptive behavior related to substance-abuse and sexual offense disorders; affective and behavioral disturbances associated with neurological disorders, e.g. traumatic brain injury; and for patients with a continued need for intensive schizophrenia programming post inpatient admission. The ECT service provides treatment for patients who have refractory depressions or other severe psychiatric disorders.


Patient Population
  • Ages 18 and up
  • Diagnoses include acute and chronic schizophrenia, other psychotic disorders not otherwise specified, substance abuse (including dual diagnosis) and sex offense, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disorder, dementia
  • Average length of stay: 12 days

  • 22
Nurse/Patient Ratio
  • 1:4 days and evenings
  • 1:11 nights
Rotation/Shifts
  • 8 and 12 hours
  • Flexible, self-schedule
Skill Mix
  • 5 RNs per day and evening shift
