Patient Population
| - Inpatient and outpatient
- Pediatric, adult, international
- Procedures include: angiography (pre/post care); contrast administration; sedations in CT for Tarlov cyst obliterations, radio frequency ablations, cryoablations, biopsies and drainages.
| | Number of Beds | | | Nurse/Patient Ratio | - 1:2-3 (1:1 for sedation protocol patients)
| | Rotation/Shifts | - Monday-Friday; day/evening rotation; call shifts weeknights, weekends, holidays (several times a year)
| | Skill Mix | - 100 percent RN; 75 percent BSN
- Required competencies: BLS, ACLS, PALS certification (acute care background recommended)
| | Orientation | - 80 hours, more as needed
- One week in the prep/recovery area
- One week in CT
