Serving as a clinical resource for the hospital staff, we provide peripheral  IV access, central-line blood sampling, central-line troubleshooting and declotting, management of TPN central lines, blood cultures, educational classes and preceptoring for physician and nursing staff. A specialized group of nurses within the team handles peripherally inserted central (PIC) catheters.

  • Surgery, medicine, psychiatry, neuroscience, Gyn / Ob
Nurse/Patient Ratio
  • Nurse is responsible for a defined group of units during shift
Rotation/Shifts
  • 4, 8 or 12 hours
  • Flexible, self-schedule
Skill Mix
  • All RN
Orientation
  • 3 to 6 weeks, tailored to individual learning needs
